Emergency

Myanmar ranks first on OCHA’s list of most at-risk Asia-Pacific countries in 2012. The country is vulnerable to a wide range of hazards, including floods, cyclones, earthquakes, landslides and tsunamis. BHF sets out to provide emergency assistance to communities affected by man-made and natural disasters through emergency relief with basic necessities such as food, shelter, and water. BHF’s 2020-2025 Objectives for Emergency Response entails:

  • To support marginalized people who are affected by natural and manmade disasters through effective emergency response
  • To develop a 24-hour emergency response mechanism for disasters at all BHF’s Offices
